2009 NEW YEAR - JI CHOU - YEAR OF THE EARTH OX

Period change from the 7 Metal Period (1984-2003) to the Number 8 Earth (2004-2023)
On February 4, 2004 we had entered the new Period ruled by the number 8 for the next 20 years. Practical and the most fortunate, the number 8 is an Earth number, its symbol the Mountain. Quiet, deliberate and firm, this Period will not allow for any confusion to last. Associated with youth, it will be the next generations turn: we are entering the time of youthful, serious and vibrant energies directed at getting things done with the least amount of fuss. Well-tested ideas, down-to-earth, no-nonsense negotiations and genuine relationships will have a better chance to endure. If we are direct and honest, work hard and stay focused, this Period 8 could be the best one yet!

PREDICTIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR 2009 –THE YEAR OF THE EARTH OX
This year the New Moon signals the beginning of the Lunar New Year starting on January 26th – February 13th 2010.

The year of the Earth Ox is symbolized by the elements Yin Earth below Yin Earth. Based on the symbolic system of the interrelationship between the 5 elements, Yin Earth above Yin Earth represents no conflict. It is a symbiotic relationship between like-minded people: friends, families, organizations or even countries. Earth sitting on top of Earth represents a field or a farmland, rich in soil, offering the promise of nourishment. However, it needs to be cultivated by hard work and sustained patience.
The sign of the Ox represents the winter month of January, (in the Northern Hemisphere), so, although this Yin Earth promises a good future harvest, cultivating the cold, sometimes frozen land, -in order to bring in a good yield- it requires hard labor.

Yin years move a little slower than Yang years, so the pace will be slower and steadier than last year. 60 years ago, in 1949 reconstruction began on a grand scale, after the worldwide destruction of war. Similarly, in this peaceful Earth year hope and optimism will be the driving force, as people will be eager to set aside their differences in order to rebuild their lives.

Yin Earth above yin Earth brings out some healthy competition that could result in new inventions, creative ideas that can advance cultures and offer solutions to the great number of global problems Humanity is faced with.

ECONOMY AND FINANCE
The Yin Earth Ox is a peaceful, patient being and prefers honesty and prudence above scheming, excessive spending or over-indulgence. In 2009 the trend continues with home prices, retail prices reaching all-time lows and those businesses that can’t keep up, will have to close.
This Ox supports those who make a great effort to benefit all, not just the ones motivated by greed and profit. This is the second year in the new 12 –year cycle that began last year. The seeds planted last year will bring excellent harvest. The green, alternative, earth-friendly industries, environmentally clean businesses will find that their patient work will pay off in 2009.

Finance is ruled by the element Water. Double Earth weakens the influence of Water, so the banking industries will see a continual crisis which in turn is affecting the stock markets and speculative venture capitalist markets. Water also rules retail, so we can expect many large retail chains may not be able to stay profitable to remain in business. Water-ruled industries include the transportation systems, media businesses, water and ocean-ways, fishing industries. Great reorganizations, mergers or new viable businesses replacing old ones can be expected in 2009.

Earth-ruled industries, such as Real Estate, rebuilding, construction, infrastructure repair will be booming, but remain extremely competitive – creating a new surge of labor unions and local community work project groups.
Earth supports Wood: reforestation and new, inventive, environmentally friendly use of the Earth’s resources, along with better food production will emerge this year. Wood also rules planning, research, education and future growth. There is great promise for renewed efforts in these areas as well.

Fire is extinguished by Earth, thus Fire-ruled industries, such as the Energy industry remain in turmoil, in spite of efforts to go forward with off-shore drilling, coal and nuclear energy experiments, which could lead to a dead-end road. The introduction of free, zero point energy inventions will remain a grass-roots effort to be the real solution in future years.

Metal is the child of Earth, so Metal-ruled industries will do very well in 2009. New, Earth-friendly technologies will win here as well: the auto industry will race to come up with the best possible new hybrids, new transport systems will be planned along with better high-tech solutions for food, healthcare, durable goods and housing for the masses.

In short, the year of the Earth Ox will bring a year of harmony, quiet reconstruction and rebuilding after the damage of excessive spending and a mismanaged economy. The peace-loving Earth Ox will inspire all to work side-buy-side for a common cause, rather than create more conflict. In Earth years the general mood is meditative, calm: the year 2009 will offer needed healing from the battles of the past 8 years.

POLITICAL OUTLOOK
It will be less likely to see world conflicts, except short lived local conflict between neighbors or neighboring countries. Secrets will come to the surface in 2009. Those seeking justice in the International Courts will be quietly gathering information, bringing all the evidence to make way to the slow, but sure progress for the world wide peace movement.
Earth on Earth is like a garden that offers great potential, and it will bring out the creativity and drive even in those who almost gave up before. The Civil Rights movement will make great progress in 2009, most likely initiated by the ongoing struggles of the Gay/Lesbian groups this year. Earth/Earth can often be symbolic of possible homosexuality.
60 years ago, 1949 was the year in which NATO was formed and the UN was reorganized. In 2009 we may expect the creation of a new -or rebuilding of an existing- global Legal Organization to help effectively deal with war crimes. Investigations into recent war crimes will continue this year to be completed by the year of the mighty Metal Tiger in 2010.
Earth rules food products, restaurants, agriculture, farming and food storage. This year extensive research will be directed at finding more viable solutions for the hunger crisis around the globe. In addition, more focused attention should be given to proper, clean food production to avoid contamination and spreading it to the masses.

WEATHER – EARTH CHANGES
In 2008 -the Earth Rat year, symbolized by Yang Earth above, Yin Water below- Water-related accidents, earthquakes in the oceans and increased flooding have been reported. This year, with Yin Earth below Yin Earth, the likelihood of earthquakes, landslides and droughts in some areas of the globe may be expected.
The Yin Earth of the Ox can be pictured as a frozen landscape in winter:
colder, than usual temperatures will be likely during 2009, with less precipitation overall. The weather may be dry and unusually warm during February, March and most of the Spring months, followed by a dry, colder Summer, wet and colder than usual Fall and Winter.

RELATIONSHIPS
The Ox is not one to show too much emotion: the heart is often closed and Fire is missing. However there is genuine care beneath the neutral exterior. In the year of the Ox existing relationships may remain as they are, or even improve, as the Ox prefers what is tried and proven. New relationships based on mutual trust can succeed but if dishonesty is discovered, chances are slim that the relationship can last. This is true, of course, for newly formed business partnerships, associations, friendships and family relationships as well. Our integrity will be tried and tested in the year of the Ox.

HEALTH
Yin Earth rules the pancreas and the digestive organs: thus attention is focused on proper diet, especially the western diet, that is heavily laden with sugar and carbohydrates, taxing these organs. Obesity, diabetes and cancer will be addressed and hopefully, people will take better care to avoid abusing their digestive organs.

THE OX YEAR AND THE OTHER SIGNS
The most compatible signs with the Ox are the Rooster, Snake and the Rat. They can rebuild and restructure their lives as the Ox offers a harmonious aspect to their energies. It is a relatively calm year for the Rabbit. The Dragon and Monkey-born signs can expect advance, recognition and promotion in 2009, if they remain patient. The Horse-born sign carries the ‘Flower of Romance’ this time, so they can expect a romantic year, even possible marriage. The Tiger-born signs will be facing another mixed year, and the Dog may still feel a bit neglected of all the action as in 2008.

There will be less upheaval in the lives of the Boar in 2009, as the Ox and the Boar (Pig) are great friends: travel and adventure may be in store.
Caution is advised for those who have the sign of the Sheep (Goat) in their BaZi charts (day, month or year): this year can bring unexpected changes, moving, accident, sudden turn of luck or frustrations.
The double yin Earth best supports those with weak Earth and weak Metal; strong Fire and Wood in their component charts. This year may be less helpful for those with strong Earth or strong Metal and weak Water: they may face more than average obstacles in 2009.

We may conclude that the year 2009 – as it occurred 60 years ago, in 1949 – will be a down-to-earth, realistic year. This year we will be required to get back to work and stop dreaming. Based on honest, hard work and –like a good farmer- with proper respect for our Mother Earth, at harvest time we can see good results. 2009 will also be a sobering, quiet year, since Fire gets absorbed into Yin Earth.
Fortunately, we get a boost start in the Fire Tiger month of February, continued into March, ruled by the optimistic Fire Rabbit. More stamina will be required during the rest of the year to keep the momentum going, with the slower, Earth, Metal and Water-ruled months that follow.

Feng Shui Flying Stars in 2009:

Center: 9 Purple Star - Fire in the center means ‘Fire in the belly’: the central parts of the world, or a given continent, or country may see internal conflicts, Fire-related accidents, earth quakes or volcanic activities.

East: 7 White Metal Star – The most diverse of the Stars, it can bring legal conflict, robberies, but it also represents increased spiritual and communication awareness. It is best to use protection in this area with Feng Shui cures. The Eastern countries, such as Korea, Japan may face legal scandals leading to better governance this year.

South-East: 8 Earth Star – The South East Asian continent continues to be the focal point with growth and prosperity. The SE of any given country will see increased prosperity and good fortune in 2009.

South: 4 Wood Star – Signifying Love, Romance and Education, this star is ‘happy’ in this center as it gets support there. This year the Southern part of the globe could offer leading scholars inventors or smart solutions to world problems.

South-West: 6 Metal Star – This area will see important changes that could benefit many. South-American countries may find more stability and leadership in 2009.

West: 2 Black Earth Star – The sickness Star flies here this year, food products, digestion-related problems need attention in any Western countries, parts of countries or continents.

North-West: 1 Water Star – Water in the NW could mean turbulence in waterways, ocean shores in these location of a given country, or continent. In contrast, water shortages in the central areas of countries, or continents may rise to a crisis level.

North: 5 Yellow Earth Star – Sitting in the North, this area should be watched most, as conflicts, natural disasters, local wars may erupt – it is considered the ‘triple conflict’ location. Northern continents, the northern regions of any country should use caution and be well prepared. Homes, offices facing North need Feng Shui cures for protection.

Meditations on Our Soul's Journey

Spiritual Life Coach using Four Pillars of Destiny and Feng Shui

Our Soul – like the planets, journeys in concentric orbits in its own micro-cosmos.

Each orbit is closed to itself and represents a karmic lesson plan. In addition, each one of these orbits own their own vibrational frequency – like a radio station – it can only respond to a certain frequency while vibrating on that particular orbit.

Let’s look at an example: You are on a life lesson dealing with relationship partners, who are repeatedly dishonest or unfaithful. You feel pain, betrayal, frustration from one relationship, after another. Then, after about 3-4 times or (hopefully soon) you finally move away from this experience, and raise your vibrational frequency! Snap! Instantly, you (soul) find yourself at a different frequency vibration, attracting partners who are also aligned at that level of vibration.

Let’s look at another example: You are working at a job, year after year, at a certain salary level, feeling OK, but deep down not really feeling fulfilled. Your level of frustration keeps rising, reaching a point of critical mass. Snap! You lose your job or you decide to quit! Why? Because you reached a higher frequency vibration level, and are ready to snap to a higher orbit. I hope it is making more sense now. When the Soul is finished with one orbit, its vibrational frequency increases and it snaps to the next highest orbit level that matches this new frequency.

Our Soul’s journey here on Earth is about completing as many orbits as possible. If we resist change, we block our own vibrational growth to new levels of frequencies. Why is it important that we allow these changes of frequencies to occur? We are not only here to elevate our own vibrational frequency levels, but our vibrational levels also affect those around us.
We all are also here to participate in helping raise Planet Earth’s vibrational frequency level. Once vibrating at the desired higher frequencies, (what astrologers call the 4thor higher dimensional vibration level) our planet Earth will not be the host to lower forms of violent, destructive forces ever again.

Everything in the Universe is composed of Energy - and every interaction is based on the nature of that energy. Your every thought, word attitude, belief, feeling and memory is composed of Energy. Energy precedes matter: it creates and attracts circumstances, people and conditions, and since like attracts like, the conditions in your life reflect the energies you have created. You and your whole life are a collection of energy patterns constantly attracting to yourself exact manifestations of the kinds of inner beliefs you have. You have attracted every person and circumstance either to play the villain in your life, or love you so inadequately that you are driven to seek a better way – a way that gradually brings you closer to your highest potential. My prayer is that you all reach your highest possible orbits in this lifetime. ep

Is it possible that in resisting change, we are changing anyway?

To change or not to change? That is not really the question.

At the time of this writing many are experiencing greater turbulence with personal relationships than ever before. Fast acceleration of personal, family and professional relationships ending and forming at a faster and faster speed, or so it seems. This is the result of Pluto going to work on dismantling non-working structures, relationships, personal and collective connections. We can say that this is painful, or it may be liberating – it all depends on our level of attachment to those relationship structures.

The farthest planet from the Sun, yet powerful like a bomb, Pluto is often called the planet of regeneration. This small but powerful planet is capable to transform- ‘regenerate’ - nothing less but the ‘Self’– our individual and collective “Self”. Pluto is the ‘sanitize-r’, and no one can escape this next ‘Wash cycle’. Pluto is the planet that rules the house of Scorpio. This house is often related to psychology, the ‘Psyche’ that resides in the deepest corners of our very Soul. Pluto just visited the heart-chakra of our Galaxy: the Galactic Center. With laser beam precision, it zoomed in on the essence of our very Soul.

While Pluto was visiting the last degrees of Sagittarius, we all felt uneasy, as if someone just pinned us to the wall like a moth. Now the surgical process of ‘Psychic Cleansing’ is about to begin! Ready or not, Pluto is moving out of the Galactic Center into the house of good old Capricorn. This is the house of order, organization, propriety and all form of systems.

To quote Michael Tsarion: As a result of the visit with the Galactic Center, “Pluto will bring in a new relationship with our ‘Shadow Selves’. It would be impossible to stand living in a one-season world for very long. …”(well, maybe some in Hollywood would disagree with me). Humanity is finally mature to face the ‘Shadow Self’: the Anger, Cruelty, the Angst, the degradation, torture, should I go on?… in short: our toxic selves.

Our Galactic Center

“We reached the time in our evolution that makes it possible for us to cease being sadistic with our Selves and others”. [id]. Humanity has been preoccupied with all sorts of distractions- anything- to avoid facing the Shadow Self. This resulted in the phenomenon of neglecting our emotional health.

“Cruelty to others is well documented. Cruelty to the Self – it is relatively unknown.” While neglecting its emotional health, Humanity – collectively and individually - created ‘False Love.”

Pluto will come and fix all that during the next round of 15 years!

THE Change is upon us – and there is NO turning back, there is no place to hide, no place to run. The “Psychic Sanitation Department” has been called and it is visiting your life and our collective Psyche starting NOW.
In resisting change, we might be in effect changing anyway! When we choose not to change, things go on around us and may sometimes pass us up. The flow of change has to continue whether we choose to change or not. So what happens when the flow goes on around us and we are moved over to the side? When riding the waves of the ocean, does the ocean ask - Would you like me to send you a big wave now? -No, the waves arrive and you better get ready and ride them out or they will wash you to the side.

All our ancient ancestors knew that change is the only constant, even if we dig in our heels, thinking we are comfortable sitting, planted firmly somewhere in a shady corner on Mother Earth. While we are sitting, a whole string of events happens: with or without our participation.

As we are approaching the “Age of Revealing”, our perception of “time” creates a more rapid acceleration of events, thus we find that there is less ‘time’ to consult with numerous advisers, friends, or associates. It is time to make choices and decisions from the center of our Holy Spirit, the very center of the SELF. The Self, the seat of the Holy Spirit is directly connected to the ‘Source’. We will be forced to go to this direct channel if we desire to survive the acceleration of Consciousness.

The Self

You may say, "but the Source is the ultimate guide, not us". Yes, the Source resides inside us - connected to us- weather we chose to ignore or acknowledge its presence. Similarly to the phenomenon of electricity, we can choose not to plug into this Light and try to walk around blindfolded, we have free will!
In fact that is precisely what Humanity did during the last Planetary Cycle (according to the Mayan time keeping records: C. J. Calleman: 'The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness' ). The Planetary cycle that began in the 18th century blind-folded our Humanity from the Truth of Self Awareness and that 250 yr. long cycle just ended!

As of August 15, 2008, the dawn of the Fourth World has arrived. This final phase will unite all previous Cycles of Consciousness, removing the blindfold from our eyes/minds. Finally, all layers of Consciousness upon this beautiful planet Earth and its Humanity will synchronize like a symphony!

So, the choice is yours: will you sit and dig in your heals, clenching to your possessions, relationships, jobs, stocks, habits, addictions...? OR, initiate the healthy changes that the ‘SELF’ is directing you to do?

Being still and focused in order to change direction is a must! Quieting the mind is a skill we will develop out of necessity, as it will no longer be a personal choice like it was in the recent past. We must turn off the interference of cell phones, TV's, radio, I-pods, music, internet, etc…because we will have no other alternative: we must be in the flow and co-create for ourselves instantaneously, as linear ‘time’ will no longer be there to linger.

It may also be important now to be watchful and mindful of the thoughts coming and going in our mind so that what will manifest is a clean, magnificent thought: a thought that supports life and Love.
Just thinking a split second of a disaster may bring that destructive wave of disaster on, so clean up all crooks and crannies of your magnificent mind! Transform that mess into an organized, clean, luxurious, well supplied Haven, and begin decorating it with beauty and truth! Pluto will help and sometimes force us to do just that!

This fantastic change will turn everything around on our tiny planet, bringing in the Happiness for all of Humanity and all living creatures. This transformation is the key to help heal our Mother Earth and its living breathing ecosystems.
From the negative chatter, anger, fear, anxiety, abandonment, cruelty, up to even torture and murder (residing in the human mind-thought-action), this transformation of Love-based thoughts and actions will result in the healing of all: all as ONE!

Give Gratitude for what is already yours. Even when there is a disaster that may surface during your thought-process, focusing on Gratitude will bring on a different outcome as long as you focus.

The Mayan Pyramid of Kukulkan

For those of you who want to get to a deeper level of Truth, I would like to remind you of my last Newsletter of 2007 titled “What does the ‘Secret’, Consciousness and the Mayan Calendar have in common?” www.redlotus.org/newsletter3.htm On page 2 it states: “During the coming year called the ‘End of Manufactured Lack’ we could see monumental transformations, in which the Age of Powers are clashing with the new ‘Ethics Age’."

I based my quotes on one of the greatest researcher, Carl Johan Calleman’s information regarding the message of the ancient Mayans in his book: ‘The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness’. According to this research, we are on the 5th Night in the Age of Ethics that began in January 1999 and completes in February 2011. This is the Age before we enter the final Universal Age –lasting only 260 days.

The 5th Night - November 19 2007- November 12 2008- is a transformational and necessary step on the schedule of Creation. Historically it has been accurately observed that in every Age the 5th Night was the clashing point at which the power is transferred from the previous Age to the ‘incoming’ Age.
During the last ‘Planetary Age’ the 5th Night lasted 20 years, from 1932 to 1952! According to Calleman the 5th Night in the current ‘Galactic Age’ is under the influence of the goddess of darkness, lasting only 360 days and is characterized by “deep crisis for global materialistic culture; destructive reaction; European Union and Germany in center of drama.”

He also observed that the ‘Days’ of a given Age are periods of “sustained growth when Creation favors mental creativity”. Another significant point made by Calleman is that this new ‘Galactic Age’ “will not favor the left-brain hemisphere” as was the case during the previous Age of Powers.

To put it into better perspective, I believe that the ultimate purpose of Creation during this Galactic Age is to remove our attachments to the material world. This is of utmost importance for Humanity in order to prepare for the next ‘Universal Age’ or the Age of Co-Creation.

We must not panic or fear this 5th Night – as we are on our way to evolve into ethical Co-Creators. In fact this process began slowly but surely during the last 20-30 years! Once the 5th Night is completed, the 6th Day –again a short year only: Nov. 13 2008- Nov. 7 2009 - is characterized as “Renaissance of advanced unifying synthesis; tense coexistence of East and West and between new spirituality and the remnants of the global materialistic powers.”

In summary, “the new Galactic Age is ready to assert itself in such a way that the left-brained hemisphere Western dominance will be seen as a thing of the past. People all over the globe are realizing that they are living in a new reality. Many old, hard to die values are forgotten or collapse on their own.” The power systems built by the Age of Powers, -like dominoes- are about to fall one by one.

According to Calleman: “This will mean not only a major downturn in the current economy but more like a total collapse of the international monetary system and the beginning of the end of quantitative abstraction of values mediated by the left brain.”

“Toward the end of the 5th Night as we reach into the Fourth World –around August 15th 2008- things will begin to move much more smoothly for those seeking the enlightened path. At that point some minor expressions of the [next and final] Universal Age will have already began to manifest.”

The Mayan prophecies recorded that we are on a Schedule of Creation; it is unfolding faster and faster right in front of our eyes. All there is left to do is: NO Fear, Stay on the path to Intuition by being Ethical and using the highest level of Integrity. That is the only possible way to go through the ‘Eye of the needle”.
